臺大國際引水人計劃舉辦「Launching a Global Career: Skills and Strategies for Multinational Companies and International Organizations」工作坊,由Lukas帶領學生深入探索國際職涯發展所需的能力與思維。

NTU students recently participated in the “Launching a Global Career: Skills and Strategies for Multinational Companies and International Organizations” workshop, led by Lukas Niu. Drawing from his professional experiences across Taiwan, the United States, and Thailand, Lukas shared insights from a career spanning international affairs, public relations, marketing, and multinational company leadership. His reflections on career transitions, cross-cultural working experiences, and professional growth strongly resonated with students throughout the session.

The workshop focused on helping students understand how internships can become the starting point for long-term international career development. Throughout the session, students explored topics such as global talent mindset, communication skills, workplace professionalism, cultural awareness, ownership, and adaptability in international environments. Students were also encouraged to reflect on how international experiences can be developed not only abroad, but also through working and collaborating in multicultural environments locally.

Beyond lectures and discussions, students actively participated in group-based case studies and presentation activities designed to simulate real-world professional scenarios. Students were divided into teams and tasked with analysing challenges related to either international organizations/public sector work or multinational company/private sector strategy. Within a limited timeframe, each team developed solutions, prepared presentation materials, and pitched their ideas to the class.

The workshop concluded with reflections on the differences between international organizations, public sector work, and multinational corporations, while also highlighting the transferable skills that students can apply across different industries and international career paths.
