前進加德滿都！探索古老遺產與社會創新，見證眾神之城的永續轉型
臺大國際處攜手引水人計畫夥伴 Impact Hub Taipei 與 Impact Hub Kathmandu，串聯尼泊爾在地創新資源，舉辦「2026尼泊爾古老遺產與社會創新見習團」，帶領 14 位臺大系統跨領域同學深入加德滿都，展開一場融合文化遺產、社會創新與永續發展的深度見習之旅。

在 Impact Hub Kathmandu 共同創辦人 Dr. Padmakshi Rana、Aarati Shrestha 與團隊的專業引導下，同學們學習基礎尼泊爾語，並走訪多個在地社會創新據點，親身了解尼泊爾如何將社會挑戰轉化為永續創新的契機。行程聚焦於「文化遺產與社會創新」的結合：於 FabLab Nepal 觀摩永續紡織及輔具科技應用，深入認識社會企業 Paramendo 如何將廢棄塑膠升級再造成綠色建材，並與紡織品牌 Rekriti 及 Mountain Bee Concern Pvt. Ltd. 等在地創業團隊交流，了解尼泊爾如何透過人類中心設計（Human-Centered Design, HCD）與包容性創業模式，為弱勢族群及偏鄉社區創造就業機會，建立兼具社會影響力與永續性的創業生態。
此外，本次見習團亦特別邀請尼泊爾工業企業發展研究院（Industrial Enterprise Development Institute, IEDI）執行董事 Er. Umesh Kumar Gupta 與學員交流，分享尼泊爾整體產業創新政策及國家創新發展架構。同學們藉由第一線的政策觀點，更深入理解政府如何透過制度設計、產業扶植及創新資源整合，推動社會創新與永續發展。
除了專業參訪與實作工作坊之外，團隊亦走訪帕坦王宮廣場、巴克塔普爾王宮廣場、博達哈大佛塔及帕斯帕提那寺等世界文化遺產，在深厚的宗教文化與歷史脈絡中體會加德滿都的城市魅力。八天的見習行程，不僅讓同學深入理解尼泊爾如何融合文化保存與社會創新，更從多元的在地實踐中，看見永續發展與包容性創業的無限可能，帶回跨文化思維與全球永續發展的新視野。

NTU Office of International Affairs (OIA), in collaboration with our Overseas Internship Program partner Impact Hub Taipei and Impact Hub Kathmandu, brought together local innovation resources to host the 2026 Nepal Ancient Heritage and Social Innovation Study Tour. The program led 14 interdisciplinary students from the NTU System to Kathmandu for an immersive learning journey exploring the intersections of cultural heritage, social innovation, and sustainable development.
Under the guidance of Impact Hub Kathmandu Co-founders Dr. Padmakshi Rana, Aarati Shrestha, and their team, students learned basic spoken Nepali while visiting a wide range of local innovation initiatives to understand how Nepal transforms social challenges into opportunities for sustainable entrepreneurship. A key theme throughout the program was the integration of heritage and innovation. Students visited FabLab Nepal to observe sustainable textile production and assistive technologies, learned how the social enterprise Paramendo upcycles discarded plastics into eco-friendly construction materials, and engaged with local entrepreneurs including Rekriti and Mountain Bee Concern Pvt. Ltd. Through these exchanges, participants explored how Human-Centered Design (HCD) and inclusive entrepreneurship create employment opportunities for marginalized and rural communities while fostering a sustainable innovation ecosystem.
The delegation also had the opportunity to exchange ideas with Er. Umesh Kumar Gupta, Executive Director of the Industrial Enterprise Development Institute (IEDI), who introduced Nepal's national innovation framework and industrial development policies. His insights provided students with a broader understanding of how public policy, institutional support, and innovation strategies work together to promote entrepreneurship and drive sustainable social transformation.
Beyond professional visits and hands-on workshops, the group explored UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Boudha Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple, experiencing Kathmandu's unique blend of history, religion, and cultural diversity. Throughout the eight-day program, students witnessed how the city balances heritage preservation with social innovation, gaining valuable international perspectives on inclusive entrepreneurship, sustainable development, and cross-cultural collaboration.
