Enjoy Europe - travel with love、Grenade Castle、 Huld - Part of Gofore Group、InferenceYissum Technology Transfer Company of the Hebrew University、 Čokoládovna Steiner & Kovarik、TGS,以及以 非破壞性檢測技術聞名全球的 Advanced Technology Group ATG)。

▌Your Global Engineering Career: Overseas Internships and A Look at the Non-Destructive Testing Industry
The Overseas Internship Program continues to broaden students’ global horizons by successfully connecting them with internship opportunities abroad. Students gain the chance to experience different working cultures firsthand and apply their academic knowledge in real-world professional settings, acquiring valuable practical experience.
Among the many partner locations available globally, the Czech Republic has long been a popular choice for students. This year, partner companies in the Czech Republic included Enjoy Europe, s.r.o., Grenade Castle, Huld, Inference Technology, Prague Chocolate, Steiner & Kovarik, TGS, and the world-renowned Advanced Technology Group (ATG), known for its expertise in non-destructive testing (NDT).
Recently, Deputy General Director of ATG, Dr. Tomas Zavadil, visited the OIA to deliver an engaging lecture on Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). During his talk, Dr. Zavadil provided a clear and accessible introduction to the principles of NDT technology and shared information about internship opportunities at ATG.
Dr. Zavadil explained that NDT is a non-invasive technique that assesses the integrity of materials and structures without causing permanent damage. It ensures product safety and quality in fields such as aviation and railways.
Two outstanding students who interned at ATG this year—Yen-Ting Chen, a second-year master’s student at the Department of Engineering Science and Ocean Engineering, and Li-Chen Yen, a fifth-year undergraduate in Mechanical Engineering—also joined the session to share their valuable experiences in the Czech Republic.
Yen-Ting described how he applied programming skills to assist with company projects, gaining significant professional growth and experiencing the value of bridging academia with real-world practice. Li-Chen focused on the experience of Czech work culture, where working hours and other conditions were generally more flexible compared to Taiwan.
We sincerely thank ATG and Dr Tomas Zavadil for supporting our students and delivering such an inspiring lecture at NTU!
