Brief Intro

Mastering PowerPoint Basics: A Hands-On Workshop is a course designed to help you grasp the essential techniques for creating visually appealing and impactful presentations. In this workshop, you'll start with the fundamental interface of PowerPoint and gradually learn how to effectively utilize various design elements to craft professional and eye-catching slides. We'll delve into design principles such as layout, color schemes, and font choices, enabling you to flexibly apply these techniques to create presentation styles that meet different thematic needs. 

Additionally, the course will focus on the integration of multimedia elements, such as images, charts, and photos, allowing you to understand how to more effectively convey information visually and enhance the appeal and persuasiveness of your presentations. Whether you're preparing for school reports, group projects, or simply aiming to improve your presentation skills, this workshop will provide you with a solid foundation, empowering you to confidently use PowerPoint and create memorable presentations.

Course Requirements:

  • Two Required In-Person Courses: Students must attend these courses at the designated time and location. If unable to attend, students must complete two online make-up elective courses for each missed in-person course.
  • Required Online Course: Students must complete the online course titled "Preventing Harassment in the Workplace (2018)".
  • One Required Online Elective Course: Students must complete one online elective course of their choice.
