Hansen Shen Kao and Tan Fang-Ming Kao International Exchange Memorial Scholarship

The Hansen Shen Kao and Tan Fang-Ming Kao International Exchange Memorial Scholarship was established by alumna Anna A. Kao in partnership with National Taiwan University to commemorate her late parents, Mr. Hansen Shen Kao and Mrs. Tan Fang-Ming Kao.

Mr. Hansen Shen Kao served as military attaché at various overseas missions of the Republic of China (Taiwan).Together with his wife, he fully devoted himself to advancing his country’s diplomatic work.

After retiring, Mr. and Mrs. Kao provided their daughter Anna with invaluable support, accompanying her as she embarked on her own career in the foreign service. Indeed, even in their old age, Mr.and Mrs. Kao continued to play an active role in fostering Taiwan’s cordial relations with other countries around the world.

In honor of her late parents, Ms. Anna A. Kao established this scholarship to expand international exchange opportunities for National Taiwan University students, broaden their horizons, and foster a spirit of benevolence and compassion among the younger generation.
