This Program

In our increasingly interconnected world, global competence and strong international networks are key factors in both career and personal development. National Taiwan University (NTU) seeks not only to provide students with exceptional education, but also best prepare them for professional development after graduation. We believe our students have the potential to become leaders in their fields around the world.

The NTU Office of International Affairs (OIA) is launching the Overseas Internship Program to increase NTU students’ professional global competence and help launch their international networks. For this program, we are cooperating with overseas enterprises, and non-profit organizations to create international internship opportunities across sectors for NTU students. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to apply for this program to pursue internship opportunities abroad, and selected students will be subsidized by OIA for living expenses. This program will promote international exchange, expand participants’ horizons, and prepare them to become globally minded professionals.

The NTU Overseas Internship Program is the first university-level program of its kind in Taiwan, sending select NTU students to overseas businesses, NGOs, and research institutes for summer internships. The program emphasizes a mentorship-style internship, with each overseas partner organization selecting mentors to support the student interns. Under the guidance of their mentors, these NTU students will experience foreign workplace culture and engage in international affairs around the world, developing their future career paths.
