LEONARDO-OFFICE SAXONY is an International Internship Office and Educational Project Office at TUD Dresden University of Technology. It is responsible for the management and coordination of local and international mobility projects for universities across Saxony. It is the main contact office for over 26,000 international partners including international universities, research institutions, industry based partners, non-profit organizations, cultural and social institutions. Service unit of the Saxon university consortium with 12 participating universities in the field of international internship and staff mobility projects.

Internship Job Description

Participation in the implementation of the internship projects with universities and companies in Taiwan:

1.) International Internship Program (IPP) with Taiwan

2.) Semiconductor Talent Incubation Program" of the Free State of Saxony, TU Dresden and other Saxon universities and the Taiwanese company TSMC

The following tasks are planned for this purpose:

General project tasks for the intercultural support of Saxon students in Taiwan and Taiwanese students in Saxony, depending on the current status of the two projects mentioned
Individual supervision of students from the Taiwanese and Saxon universities who will carry out internships in Saxony and in Taiwan in the summer of 2025; participating on intercultural conflict management (if necessary)
Evaluation of the internships through discussions with the students and the host institutions; Creating "examples of good practice" to enrich the web pages of the LEONARDO OFFICE OF SAXONY (reports on the experiences of students from Taiwan and from Saxony)
Promotion of the projects to attract interested Taiwanese and Saxon students for the following academic year via the schools/faculties of the TU Dresden and the Saxon as well as Taiwanese universities via the International Offices, social media and other information channels

Preferred Intern Education Level

Undergraduate students (third year and above)
Master students

Preferred Intern Skill Sets or Qualities

Very good knowledge and communication skills of/in English level B2 (European Framework of Reference), knowledge of German is an advantage (but not a requirement)
Commitment and willingness to work hard, to work and plan independently as well as to work in a team
Organizational skills and ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new areas of responsibility
Knowledge of the use of social media (Instagram) is an advantage

Internship Period

From June 9 to August 31, 2025 (adjustable at the discretion of the organisation)
