NTU OIA collaborates with ORIX Corporation, a diversified multinational financial group, to send NTU students to Tokyo for a traineeship in January, 2024. Students will learn at the Enterprise Risk Management Department, the Energy and Eco Services Business Headquarters, and the ORIX Asset Management Corporation (Real Estate Business) for 14 days, experiencing Japanese workplace and improving working skills. During the traineeship, ORIX will cover students’ plane ticket fees and accommodation fees.
ORIX has been established for almost 60 years, and its main businesses today fall into 10 segment categories, including corporate financial services, real estate, insurance, banking, environment and energy, aircraft and ships, etc. Furthermore, ORIX has become the new operating company of Kansai International Airport and Osaka (Itami) International Airport. The main businesses are renewable energy in Japan and overseas, electric power retail, energy-saving services, sale of solar panel and electricity storage systems, recycling and waste management, and resource recycling.
Renewable energy businesses in Japan and internationally are strategically important in the Environment and Energy segment. We have 940MW of solar power generation capacity in Japan, and are aggressively building our wind,geothermal and other renewable power businesses. Outside Japan, our abundant pipeline of development projects centers on Elawan in Spain and Greenko in India. We will leverage these strategic platforms to accelerate our global expansion while selling projects we have developed. As of March 31, 2022,ORIX’s renewable energy business has net owned operating capacity of 3.3GW. It aims at steady growth of the investor’s value by the management of the diversified REIT*3 utilizing extensive financial and real estate knowledge and expertise accumulated by ORIX Group over the years.
ORIX JREIT Inc. (a diversified REIT managed by ORIX Asset Management Corporation)
ORIX JREIT was listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2002 as the first diversified REIT in Japan. ORIX JREIT is promoting various measures to improve the equality of the overall assets under its management, attract tenants, and enhance financial stability, with the aim of realizing the steady growth of value for investors.
*1. Asset management business: a business that manages and operates a variety of investment assets, including financial assets and real estate on behalf of companies. As for the real estate, it examines strategies for improving added value, such as property renovation and attracting tenants, and develops financial plants.
