After Charles Liu finished his 1-year military service and graduated from Economics Department at National Taiwan University with a bachelor degree in 2014, he joined ASUS. During the time working at ASUS, he was assigned to different places. He first moved to Mumbai, India in 2015, working as a product manager. By late 2016, he worked as a branch head at Karnataka office, and then he transferred to his 2nd place, Bangkok, Thailand in January, 2017. He has had rich experience in product management and sales. He turned out to be a director in April 2019 in a newly built commercial department. ASUS, one of the top four IT brands in the world, has proven their competitiveness with records of innovation. Additionally, the company offers abundant opportunities to young talents. Charles could be one of the examples as one of the youngest executives in Thailand IT industry. There are always challenges in business world but Charles found his passion for ASUS and he believes the company can find future young executives who strive for an outstanding life and who never settle for normal career in NTU Overseas Internship Program.
ASUS (Thailand) has been established more than decades. The Commercial Business & B2B Department is the youngest and the most energetic department in our company, with 22 young talents (average age < 30 yrs old).
Our major clients are mostly government, corporations, education institutes, which are different from traditional understandings of IT industry business type. Our B2C Department stands #1 position in Thailand for the past 4 years, while B2B is our next big thing. We are targeting to be #1 position in short. This will be a good opportunity for the talents who are eager to learn and are willing to devoting themselves to challenges.
During the 3-month internship, students will cover full scope of business from product training, sales pitching skills, market research mechanism, marketing communication skills to full business structure “Go to Market” plan. Students will report to the director directly and will need to pass 6 times presentations during the internship.
