Brief Introduction of the Department

PT. Walsin Nickel Industrial Indonesia(WNII) was a newly established company, with headquarter in Jakarta and manufacturing plant in IMIP site, located in Morowali, Sulawesi, Indonesia. WNII is the top 2 Taiwan investment project in Indonesia. With the investment,WNII is deemed as the key profit engine of Walsin Group‘s Commodity business group and long term development commitment in Indonesia.

Main Customers and Export Countries：WNII has build up close relationship with key players in stainless steel business, and expand business value chain through mutual collaboration in Indonesian Morowali Industrial Park, Sulawesi. WNII’s main sales footprints across Indonesia, China, and Taiwan.

Introduction of WNII Products：WNII produces Nickel Pig Iron (NPI), the main raw material for manufacturing stainless steel. Through the establishment of WNII, WLC will extend the value chain into upstream to avoid fluctuation of material and ultimately stabilize the production cost of stainless steel. WNII also owns a power plant to support NPI production.

Future Development Plan：Other than Nickel Pig Iron, WNII will also focus on development of Nickle application, such as battery of electric vehicle market.

Internship Job Description

Interns will do:

Consolidating financial data and performing comprehensive financial analyses & scenario modeling to support decision making and to drive cross-business initiatives
Assisting to drive business results by supporting business performance via cost optimization, production efficiency enhancement, and cash-flow maximization
Assisting to manage and track financial growth to ensure alignment with financial plans and budgets
Ensuring availability of information and data on a timely basis for business result assessment, business trend forecast and business impact analysis
Assisting to drive business plan through analyzing trends and ensuring alignment with business and corporate objectives
Participating in ad-hoc financial projects, if any

Preferred Intern Education Level

Undergraduate students (third year and above)
Master students

Preferred Intern Skill Sets or Qualities

Be familiar with Finance, Accounting (Intermediate Accounting and above level is a must), or other business-related fields
Fluent in English & Chinese (read/write/speak), able to communicate in Bahasa is a plus
Competent in MS office applications and high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct complex financial data analysis
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Efficient, self-motivated and keen to explore new things

Internship Period

From June 9 to August 31, 2025 (adjustable at the discretion of the organisation)

Others

In this position, you will spend the first 1 to 2 weeks in the Taiwan office, and then move to Indonesia office afterwards.
Expected working hours per week: 40 hours
