Joan Erika Pineda worked for Epson as a channel and events marketer, and commercial sales for 3 years. Then, she worked in ASUS Phils as channel sales manager for SYS and then OPBG for more than 4 years. Afterwards, she had a short stint in HP. Then, she was a country manager for WD Phils for 8 years, handling product management, marketing, sales, and all operations basically. She has trained numerous fresh graduates during her career and have patience for different types of personalities, believing that harmony and room for vulnerability is the healthiest environment we can provide for new talents.
On her personal time, she enjoys watching anime and listening to music. Sometimes she still writes songs. She is relatively new to Dubai so she has strong empathy for newcomers in this city. She's willing to learn as much as she's willing to teach and grow together with her team.
The Marketing Department for ASUS Middle East caters to marketing needs and requirements of GCC, Levant, and Egypt. The Marketing Team is composed of members specializing in different functions namely, but not limited to, Channel Marketing (Online and Offline), Digital Marketing (Social Media and Media Buy), Influencer/Media Management, Website Development and Management, and Graphic Designing. The team also handles several agencies, for both creative ideation, marketing materials’production, and campaigns and/or events execution.
• Channel Marketing: To participation in effective creation of marketing materials with proper messaging, to be deployed in the stores and/or in e-tail sites.
• Content Creation Opportunities: To support the team in creating new ideas for social media, newsletters, blogs, and other forms of messaging, which will help intern learn the basics of visual and written content creation that appeal to gamers and tech enthusiasts, and gain experience in crafting compelling narratives and engaging content for different types of target audiences.
• Event Planning and Coordination: To assist in planning and coordinating events such as product launches, gaming tournaments, influencer activations, and trade shows which will help intern learn event management skills and gain hands-on experience in executing successful events that resonate with different types of target audiences.
• Competitor Research and Analysis
• Administrative and Organizational Skills Development: To handle administrative duties such as scheduling meetings with partners or other stakeholders, maintaining channel marketing databases, and assisting in the preparation of reports, which will help intern learn valuable organizational skills and gain insights into the operational aspects of marketing in the tech industry.
