Dr. Ming-Tsung (Louis) WU has extensive research experience across different fields, namely food science, biomedical science, bioinformatics, and agricultural science. He has published 11 journal articles on ncRNA-mediated epigenetic regulation across the human, plant and bacterial species based on different experimental strategies and next-generation sequencing platforms. Louis takes initiatives across various international collaborations and worked in numerous academic research units such as Academia Sinica (Taiwan), Centre for Research in Agricultural Genomics (Spain), Imperial College London, and the University of Cambridge (UK).
He has co-founded Genenet Technology and currently leading as the COO at this fast-growing AI-biosynthesis biotech company in Cambridge and Stevenage, which focuses on integrating deep learning into gene circuit design and providing novel solutions for the bioproduction industry. Meanwhile, Louis is the Secretary-General at the UK-Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce helping to promote business cooperation between the UK and Taiwan.
Currently, he contributes as the co-principal investigator in the EUREKA GlobalStars Taiwan-UK digital industrial project, facilitating collaboration between UK and Taiwanese businesses and pioneering innovation and deployment of novel digital technologies for manufacturing.
Louis is also the Chairman of NTUAAUK who will be the UK liaison for NTU Overseas Internship Program.
