It was a very special experience to be here – and what I was most grateful for is to meet and found people that I can call as a new family of my own. My initial job description was to be a Sustainability intern, but in reality, I got to experience and do much more than only sustainability related jobs. The part that was most related to my initial job was to teach about sustainability, global warming, and recycling related materials to the children in English class. Also, I have the opportunity to learn more about these “sustainability projects” : I got to visit the local shop where the owner made their own multi-use, liquid soap to sell to the people around here. I also get to visit one of the acquaintances of the worker here who does agriculture engineering – and he also shares a bit about hydroponics and aquaponics, and also got to share his own plant with us, for us to plant in Taiwan centre.
