My role in the position titled “The Interacting Effects of Temperature and Moisture on Long-Term Seed Survival” is to conduct experiments with seed materials stored at different temperatures and moisture levels to gather data for the long-term storage project. The experiments were conducted at the Millennium Seed Bank (sometimes referred to as MSB for short) of Kew located in Wakehurst Place. There are many different learning chances far beyond just learning from the intern position. We visit the Herbarium, Fungarium, and meet the team of the Community Access Scheme. For me, every visit not only learn some new things, but also to meet new people, including other interns working in different positions, and the researchers of Kew working in different department of Kew.
