My journey in Israel taught me that "extreme things can coexist." The conservative Jerusalem and the vibrant Tel Aviv, the coexistence of Islam and Judaism, the historical atrocities and the thriving innovation scene – I find it hard to fathom how a society can bear such extreme tensions. It's far from my past life experiences. Yet, Israel showcases incredible resilience while embracing the attitude of "living in the moment and cherishing present happiness." This has prompted me to deeply reflect. Compared to the linear thinking and long-term planning prevalent in East Asian societies, what I witnessed in Israel was people seizing every opportunity and appreciating each moment with gratitude. It has made me reevaluate my own life and taught me to be more flexible, to let go without giving up, and to embrace the unexpected that life has to offer. This journey has been more than just a cultural exploration; it has been a profound transformation of my values and perspective on life.
