As Mulan said, “The most beautiful flower grows in adversity.” I grew exponentially after my intense and invaluable experience in Europe. I broadened my horizons and now see the world differently than I used to. I see a different style of work culture, but it still works. I listened to my immigrant coworkers and understood how racial dynamics affect their lives. I traveled to many places and met members of the Chinese diaspora. I see a different possibility for the blueprint of my life. This internship contributed to my career aspirations, and I am planning to seek more international internships or opportunities in the future. I am deeply moved by the network I built and the culture I experienced. I would love to work abroad again while meeting new people.
