“A Ship in Harbor is Safe, But That is Not What Ships Are Built For.”
Through the NTU Overseas Internship Program, NTU OIA sends students to companies, research institutes, NGOs, and government agencies around the world for hands-on internship experiences. In addition to making a positive impact and exploring diverse career opportunities, students are mentored by mid-level or senior managers within their host organizations. Under their guidance, interns gain valuable professional insights and experience the workplace culture of different countries firsthand.
In 2026, even more organizations across countries such as the United States, France, Japan, the Czech Republic, Thailand, Indonesia, and Guatemala are joining the NTU OIP. These partners represent a wide range of industries, including food technology, aquaculture, animal science, biotechnology, space technology, artificial intelligence, mechanical engineering, visual design, business development, government relations, Mandarin promotion, community development, and even creative projects like empty-house renovation. With such diversity, students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of roles and discover their potential.
NTU OIA will host three information sessions to introduce the Overseas Internship Program. Each session will feature NTU students who previously participated in the program, sharing their achievements, challenges, and cultural experiences abroad. There will also be guest speakers from two new partner organizations, HiLASE Centre in Czech Republic and MMS Resources in Indonesia.
Students from all majors and degree levels are welcome to apply for the OIP and may be eligible for scholarships through a competitive selection process. To learn more about the program details, we warmly invite you to join the 2026 NTU OIP Information Sessions.
Besides the internship, NTU OIA will introduce 3 overseas traineeships which will occur during the 2026 winter vacation: “NTU x Water Mirror Traineeship: Sendai – Startup Innovation Ecosystem”, “NTU x WFA Traineeship: South Africa - Conservation. Forensics. Action.” and “NTU x Startup Island Traineeship: Okinawa – Blue Economy and Tech Revitalization”.
