The initial Bellwether team began its journey in 2014. It began with the founder’s passion for the interaction between transportation and cities. The first concept launched by the founders is a hovercraft, Gazelle in 2015. It was a great success and led the team to the next stage – Bellwether Industries. In January 2019, the company was officially registered in London. Bellwether’s mission is to provide the most compatible and human-orientated Urban Air Mobility (UAM) solution for intracity travels with a safe, efficient, and comfortable experience. Our ultimate goal is to build a brand new 3-dimensional lifestyle and to lead the world toward more comprehensive urban mobility.
The R&D department at Bellwether Industries serves as the driving force behind our unwavering commitment to pioneering innovation in urban air mobility. The team consists of experienced engineers and industrial designers with diverse backgrounds, putting effort at the forefront of cutting-edge advancements. Our internship programme offers students a unique opportunity to cultivate their ideas without constraints and conceive solutions to optimize to the design of flying vehicles.
As an intern of the R&D team, your responsibilities will encompass a dynamic range of tasks, including active participation in collecting and analysing research data for the specific project and software development. In addition, you will contribute significantly to examining the current landscape and future trajectory of technologies in the UAM industry. We believe our flying vehicle, Volar, holds great promise for future transportation. In the Bellwether, your responsibilities include developing the 3D flying infrastructure software system, including key features such as flight planning and traffic management. Every dedication and contribution will be key drivers of innovation within our company, impacting the future of urban air mobility.
