The initial Bellwether team began its journey in 2014. It began with the founder’s passion for the interaction between transportation and cities. The first concept launched by the founders is a hovercraft, Gazelle in 2015. It was a great success and led the team to the next stage – Bellwether Industries. In January 2019, the company was officially registered in London. Bellwether’s mission is to provide the most compatible and human-orientated Urban Air Mobility (UAM) solution for intracity travels with a safe, efficient, and comfortable experience. Our ultimate goal is to build a brand new 3-dimensional lifestyle and to lead the world toward more comprehensive urban mobility.
The R&D Department at Bellwether Industries is the driving force behind our commitment to pioneering innovation in urban air mobility. Our team brings together experienced engineers and industrial designers from diverse backgrounds, working at the forefront of cutting-edge advancements. The internship programme offers students a unique opportunity to explore ideas freely and develop creative solutions that contribute to the design and optimization of next-generation flying vehicles.
As an R&D Intern, you will play a key role in advancing the development of next-generation eVTOL and UAV technologies. Your responsibilities will include assisting with research coordination, data analysis, and contributing to the design and implementation of flight control systems and ground station interfaces. You will also help develop 3D flight infrastructure software, focusing on critical functions such as flight planning and traffic management within the urban air mobility (UAM) domain.
Working closely with our engineering team, you will engage in modelling, simulation, and verification using MATLAB/Simulink, and participate in embedded control system integration and performance optimization. Every contribution you make will help drive innovation in intelligent mobility and shape the future of aerial transportation.
