NIHON BIOTECH CO., LTD. is an Okinawa-based company engaged in sea grape (umi-budo) cultivation, the sale of Okinawan food products, and the operation of experiential tourism facilities. The company was established in 1985, and in 2005 launched “UMiNCHi” in Itoman City, located in the southern part of Okinawa Island, with a passion for sharing the beauty of Okinawa’s ocean, islands, food, and local culture with visitors.

UMiNCHi offers a unique combination of aquaculture, food, tourism, and cultural experiences centered around Okinawa’s natural environment. Activities include sea grape harvesting experiences, Okinawa soba and other local food experiences, traditional salt-making, Sabani traditional boat experiences, marine activities, camping and BBQ, and guesthouse accommodation. Through these activities, visitors can experience Okinawan food, nature, and culture in an authentic local setting.

As Okinawa continues to welcome visitors from around the world, the company is also interested in developing stronger connections with international travelers, particularly visitors from Taiwan and other Asian markets. the company hopes to explore new ways to communicate the appeal of Okinawa and UMiNCHi through tourism marketing, social media, content creation, and cross-cultural perspectives.
