STUF United Fund Inc. (STUF) was established in 2009 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the United States. Since its founding, STUF has been dedicated to advancing global philanthropy and engagement with the United Nations. By connecting global resources—including NGOs/NPOs, private corporations, government agencies, and UN bodies—STUF focuses on four major areas: disaster relief, humanitarian aid, culture and education, and public health and environmental protection.
To date, STUF has carried out charitable projects in 36 countries across five continents, supporting people and communities in need while promoting its core values of Share, Trust, Unity, and Family.
STUF United Fund holds consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC), and is an observer organization for the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the UN Environment Programme (UNEP). It is also a member of the UN Global Compact (UNGC), CoNGO (Conference of NGOs in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations), and the Global Health Council.
In addition, STUF is authorized to present The President’s Volunteer Service Award in the United States. Since 2017, STUF has hosted numerous side events at the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) in New York, organized global forums during the World Health Assembly (WHA) in Geneva since 2023, and participated in the UN Climate Change Conferences (UNFCCC COP) beginning in 2023.
STUF’s Global Headquarters in New York provides coordination, guidance, and strategic support for projects implemented by STUF’s regional centers, including the STUF Asia Pacific Center, STUF East Africa Center, and STUF Europe Center. The headquarters also oversees and assists various global initiatives, such as the Global Health Diplomacy Team and the Life Education Program, ensuring that each project aligns with STUF’s mission and contributes to sustainable social impact worldwide.
The intern will have the opportunity to participate in United Nations–related meetings such as those organized by UN DESA (United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs), the UN HLPF on SDGs (United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development), and UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme). The intern will also take part in CoNGO (Conference of NGOs in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations) committee meetings and assist in enhancing STUF United Fund’s engagement within the UN system.
In addition, the intern will support the implementation of the STUF SDG Small Grant Program and contribute to marketing and public relations activities, including the creation of bilingual social media content.
Working closely with the STUF United Fund team, the intern will gain hands-on experience in charitable project planning and proposal writing, transforming creativity into a force for sustainable action and contributing to meaningful, real-world impact.
