Born and raised in Paris, Adrien started to work in the cultural field, mainly on exhibition projects (Gaîté Lyrique, Louvre, la French Design...). Most of these experiences were related to architecture and design fields and practices. He then switched to the technology fields, by being a UX designer for Ogilvy (2012) and later by joining the startup and makers dynamics. He was part of a hacker space called "La Paillasse" and took part in some creative communities, such as Museomix. He worked abroad, in Japan for instance, at the French-Japanese institute, or in Norway, as a designer for Ralston & Bau. He also ran a master's degree program dedicated to "Digital Strategy" and followed 160 students for 2 years (2014-15). He became a teacher but also a journalist (for Makery or Uzbek & Rica) and became a jury for several startup challenges. He left France for 4 years and moved to Taiwan. He worked for School, at TTA, and ran an exchange program between France and Taiwan, together with ICPA (NCTU). He came back to Paris and has worked since then for the Fab City movement.
Fab City Grand Paris is a local network of creators, designers, architects, urban farmers, innovators, Fab Lab, think tank, and research office engaged in the rise of the circular and collaborative economy in the Paris area. We work on European-founded programs, such as CENTRINNO - a research project focused on industrial historical sites under transformation. It will showcase the potential of these cultural landscapes to become new and inclusive hubs of entrepreneurship for city residents while fostering sustainability.
Taiwan and France are both creative and innovative territories.
This internship, at the crossroad of urbanism, anthropology, and technology, offers an immersion in the Parisian creative and alternative ecosystem and will allow the student to observe innovative practices related to urbanism, industrial heritage revitalization, urban agriculture, and maker culture. The student will aim to create and strengthen the connection between Paris and Taiwan, through the Fab City vision. To do so the job will be split into three parallel missions:
This job opportunity is the very first step of a bigger project: opening a Fab City Taiwan.
This scouting job, and all the matters and connections generated during this internship, will provide helpful inputs and scenarios to create a Fab City hub in Taiwan
