Léa Klein is a recognised enabler within the Southeast Asia impact ecosystem. In 2015, she founded the Asian chapter of makesense, a global organization dedicated to driving profound societal transformation through systems-thinking and community building. As an impact leader, Léa guides groups of citizens, civil society organisations, and institutions to collectively learn across complex landscapes and take actions in real-life for a more sustainable and inclusive world.
Under her leadership, more than 30 social startups have blossomed in the Philippines, while makesense Asia has facilitated alliances of 45,000 citizens and over 200 institutions across the region. Together, Léa and her team facilitates multi-groups collaborations addressing pressing issues such as the reduction of single-use plastics, or the accessibility of healthcare for all.
Léa's contributions to the Asia impact ecosystem have garnered recognitions from prominent figures, including Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Pr. Muhammad Yunus with whom she collaborated on numerous editions of the Social Business Day. Currently she is awarded the Senior Social Impact Leader Fellowship from the Southeast Asian Foundation, Firetree. This recognition enabled her to initiate "The GoodChat," makesense Asia's 2023 flagship program accompanying 4M people to actively participate in the energy transition of Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
