Oscar Wang is a technology-driven sustainability professional who bridges softwareengineering, data architecture, and sustainable finance. Known for hiswillingness to embrace challenges, he has successfully transitioned from a deep technical background into sustainability advocacy and digital transformation, creating measurable impact across both private and public sectors.
Currently, Oscar serves as Lead Data Engineer at ESGpedia, a Singapore-based fintech startup focused on sustainability and ESG solutions. Since April 2023, he has led the design and migration of large-scale data pipelines and warehouses from AWS to Databricks, applied Named Entity Recognition (NER) models to corporate ESG data extraction, and managed a growing data engineering team. He also supports technical architecture design for analytics and reporting teams. In 2025, he further took on a key project role interfacing with CTBC Bank, overseeing system design and delivery for sustainable finance digitalization initiatives.
In parallel with his technical leadership, Oscar has actively contributed to sustainability promotion and cross-sector collaboration. Since 2024, he has served as a Business Development lead at ESGpedia, working closely with the NGO JCI Taipei to co-organize major sustainability initiatives, including the ESG Corporate Sustainability Practices Forum and the Asia Pacific Young Leaders Summit (APYLS). These efforts included carbon-neutral conferences and city-level sustainability advocacy in collaboration with Taipei City Mayor Chiang Wan-an.
Earlier in his career, Oscar founded a software development studio in 2021, leading a five-member team to deliver multiple custom-built products such as ERP systems, e-commerce platforms, and brand marketing websites. His prior experience also includes senior engineering roles at Newegg and data engineering roles in mobile gaming and biotech industries, where he built scalable ETL systems, search platforms, and cloud-based data infrastructures.
With a strong belief that technology can accelerate sustainable transformation, Oscar continues to connect engineering rigor with real-world ESG impact.
