The Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF), Jordan Branch Office, was established in 2018. Aligned with its mission from Taiwan, the office is dedicated to supporting local children and families in need.
Through both one-on-one sponsorship and community sponsorship models, TFCF Jordan provides essential care and resources from Taiwan to its beneficiaries in Jordan. The organization collaborates with local partners, specifically Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), across the Amman, Jerash, Balqa, and Mafraq areas, thereby empowering underprivileged neighborhoods and refugee camps.
TFCF Jordan's programs are guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and cover diverse areas, including but not limited to:
Through these various approaches, the office is committed to enhancing the overall well-being of its beneficiaries and supporting children throughout their development.
In this internship, the Project Intern is expected to support two major tasks:
Summer Camp Coordination in CBOs: TFCF Jordan Branch Office carries out annual summer camp activities for sponsored children of different ages, providing a valuable opportunity for them to explore different interests and have positive social experiences during summer break. The Project Intern will be involved in the summer camp this season and will organize part of the activities. The Intern is encouraged to use their creativity, discuss the activity plan with their mentor, and then collaborate with Jordanian staff to conduct the plan in Community-Based Organizations (CBOs).
Annual Child Progress Report (CPR) Administration: The Project Intern will assist with the administrative work required for collecting the annual Child Progress Report (CPR). The CPR is a letter sent to sponsors detailing the growth and status of the sponsored children. To produce the CPR, the collection of field data is necessary. Therefore, the Intern will accompany the Project Officer to visit various CBOs, take pictures of the children, conduct surveys, and perform subsequent data entry in the office.
The Project Intern will also participate in the day-to-day routine, gaining an in-depth understanding of INGO administration procedures and the project cycle.
