One of the most valuable aspects of my internship has been gaining first-hand insight into how a start-up company operates. Before joining Genenet Technology, I had limited understanding of how start-up companies manage their work, resources, and priorities while trying to develop innovative ideas. Working within Genenet has shown me how a relatively small team can collaborate efficiently, communicate effectively, and adapt quickly to new challenges. I have learned that working in a start-up environment often requires flexibility and a willingness to take on different responsibilities. Unlike a more structured academic environment, I have experienced situations where I needed to be proactive, manage my time effectively, and approach problems independently. This has helped me become more adaptable and confident when dealing with unfamiliar tasks. Being exposed to a different working environment and a new working culture has allowed me to broaden my perspective.
