This internship was very fulfilling, and I feel that it was the right decision to bravely submit my resume and apply. I have always lacked self-confidence, thinking that my experience is not exciting or rich enough. However, after successfully applying and experiencing this seven-day trip, I not only regained my confidence but also explored this charming country, learned about local industries and social enterprises, broadened my horizons, and rekindled my enthusiasm for exploring the world. The combination of classroom knowledge, field visits to heritage sites like stupas in Kathmandu, and direct engagement with practitioners of social innovation has left me with a more grounded, humble, and hopeful understanding of what “development” can mean in practice.
