From a professional perspective, this internship has broadened my understanding of how political science can be applied in the private sector. Through my internship at GR Japan, I have gained a much clearer understanding of the role that public affairs consulting plays in connecting private companies with government institutions. The work has strengthened my analytical skills. Research alone is not enough; information must be organized, interpreted, and ultimately transformed into outputs that clients can easily understand and use. Through this process, I have learned how to break down complicated policy issues into manageable components, identify key stakeholders, and present findings in a concise and practical manner. These are skills that are directly relevant not only to public affairs consulting but also to many other professional fields.
