Bachelor in Engineering Science and Ocean Engineering
My original motivation for joining this program was to gain deeper insights into real-world examples and experiences related to innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as to understand the push and pull factors of working in Japan. After completing the site visits, although I didn’t gain as much as I had expected in the areas I originally anticipated, I was surprised by how much I learned in other unexpected aspects. I developed a clearer understanding of the environments these companies operate in, how their internal systems function, the nature of the work involved, and the practical skills required. I also learned what qualities venture capitalists value in startups and what competencies they expect from entrepreneurs. Beyond the business side, I experienced aspects of Japanese culture that typical tourists would rarely encounter and had the pleasure of meeting peers from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds. although I come from an engineering background and felt that I couldn’t fully grasp the depth of the venture-related content, I could still sense how thoughtfully the program was designed. I would strongly recommend this program, especially to those with a background in business or management.
