During my time at Kew, I do not conduct research on my own. Instead, I work as part of a collaborative research team. Every Wednesday, we hold a lab meeting where each member shared the progress they had made during week, discussed the challenges they had encountered, and worked together to find possible solutions. These discussions allowed me to learn not only from my own project but also from the experiences of other researchers. In addition, team members share interesting, published research and discuss their scientific significance and potential applications. Participating in these meetings helped me develop my critical thinking skills, broaden my understanding of current research trends, and appreciate the importance of collaboration and open communication in scientific research. The experience at Kew was valuable not only because it provides an outstanding research platform and access to world-class scientific resources, but also because it allows everyone to work alongside researchers.
