Bachelor in International Business
Living and working in Prague this summer has been a new and eye-opening experience for me as someone from Taiwan. I worked for two organizations: the Czech-Taiwanese Business Chamber (CTBC) and the Forum For Human Rights (FFHR). At CTBC, I handled various tasks like organizing visits, managing social media, and supporting expansion plans into Northeast Asia. My mentor Jan gave me freedom but also checked in regularly, which helped me learn to work independently and communicate well. At FFHR, I attended conferences and did research on complex topics like forced labor. It was challenging but inspiring, and I learned the importance of asking for help. The working culture here values open communication and honest feedback, which is different from what I’m used to in Asia. This internship taught me self-discipline, hybrid working skills, and new ways to approach problems. It’s been a valuable experience that shaped my future career outlook.
