Bachelor in Geography
Coming from Taiwan, this felt very different. We certainly preserve historical buildings, but it is rare to experience an entire historical district where culture continues to exist so naturally. Walking through Patan, I did not feel like I was visiting history. Instead, I felt like history was still living alongside the present. Looking back, I think Nepal gave me something much more valuable than knowledge. It gave me a different way of seeing the world. I came to Nepal hoping to learn about social innovation. I left realizing that before creating change, we first need to understand the history, geography, and people that shape every community.
