Bachelor in Geography
I found this program truly fascinating, and it turned out to be very different from what I had originally expected. Only a semester ago, I had seen these mountains, rock formations, and examples of biodiversity merely in lecture notes and PowerPoint slides. Suddenly, they were unfolding before my eyes in real life. Although the historical explanation sounded reasonable, confronting the lived reality of such cultural fusion was still astonishing to me. Another moment left a particularly deep impression on me. What kind of social reality would lead someone to feel that women, as a group, are generally not treated with respect? It confronted me with complex histories, layered identities, and social inequalities. I came to understand that geography is not only about mountains and oceans—it is also about people, power, migration, and lived realities. Within that complexity, I found not only reflection, but also direction.
