Bachelor in Political Science
During my internship at Aqua Baan, I learned how important local knowledge is for international trade, especially in Africa where every country has different rules and politics. Working with a manager from the Republic of the Congo helped me see how language and politics affect business there. My tasks included making country profiles with geography, politics, and fisheries info, which was hard at first because data was scarce and I didn’t know much about the region. I also made a presentation about one of the company’s feed products using only an internal training video as a guide. This taught me how business decisions develop step by step and how interns can bring new ideas. Living in Lyon, I noticed the city always has some party or event happening, which showed me a different way of celebrating life, even if I don’t usually join in. Overall, this internship helped me grow both professionally and personally.
