As a senior medical student, it is difficult to incorporate fundamental research into our tight schedule. Joining École Polytechnique and taking on full-time research duty gave me the opportunity to experience a completely different field in person. There is no need to underscore the prestige of the École Polytechnique. Recently regrouped with several other institutions to form the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, the school continues to offer the best academic training and to produce cutting-edge research in the field of engineering. One of the major advantages of the program, namely the Research Program for International Talents, is the reasonable funding and housing offer. Located in the distant suburb of Paris, it is not easy to find ideal and affordable student housing in the region of Palaiseau or Lozère as a foreigner. Luckily, we are hosted in an on-campus dormitory, offering quality at a very low price. Combined with the monthly payment and the transportation reimbursement, it can be said that the majority of our costs are covered by the school.
