Looking back, the greatest difficulty I faced was that the original project was too large and abstract to execute. After discussing with my mentor and his supervisor, I was glad they supported me in pursuing a more interesting and manageable project. Since the pandemic, I was often the only one from my team in the office. While this limited in-person interaction, colleagues were always friendly, responsive, and eager to help, making the atmosphere supportive. Overall, my time at Kew was a mix of beauty, challenge, and adaptability, teaching me the value of flexibility, communication, and the courage to pivot.
