Overall, my time at UCLA gave me a more realistic understanding of the research process. The most important lesson I learned is that good research is not simply about producing better numbers. It requires understanding the problem, questioning assumptions, constructing convincing experiments, and being willing to revise an idea when the evidence does not fully support it. This experience strengthened my interest in efficient machine learning, world models, and research at the intersection of AI algorithms and computing systems.
