During my internship at Genenet Technology, hosted by the Milner Therapeutics Institute in Cambridge, I helped re-establish the lab, performed biosafety testing on gene-edited cell lines, and conducted market research for a cardiac organoid chip project. Although organoid technology was new to me, I quickly learned about its applications and explored business opportunities, bridging science and commercial strategy. I also supported a heart disease biomarker detection project, collaborating remotely with a Taiwanese company, which taught me about challenges in international teamwork. Attending MTI events like the Milner Symposium and Pitch Day gave me insights into biotech innovation and investor interests. I also participated in UK NTU Alumni events, connecting with professionals and learning about the entrepreneurial ecosystem. This internship broadened my understanding of biotech, international collaboration, and business, inspiring me to continue pursuing innovation in the field.
