Bachelor in Sociology
I arrived with a habit of analyzing the world through macro-level structures and broad patterns. However, the intensity of this program forced me to narrow my focus, teaching me to place my attention on the minute, the specific, and the events that have already occurred. Throughout the program, I worked alongside peers from diverse backgrounds. I realized that my value comes from the unique perspective I bring to the team. While they focused on the biological details, I was able to connect those details back to the organizational and environmental structures we were studying. I learned that being a professional involves the ability to zoom in on the evidence while also knowing when to zoom out to see the context. I now understand that the most effective way to address global challenges is through a combination of micro-level precision and macro-level understanding.
