During my nearly three-month internship in the Czech Republic, I served concurrently as a Business Account Management intern at the Czech Taiwan Business Chamber and as a Human Rights University Project Management intern at the Forum for Human Rights. Balancing two positions taught me how to switch between tasks and manage my time effectively, while also giving me valuable insights into the European workplace. After the traineeship ended, I transitioned to conducting sandbox research on defense technology developments across the Czech Republic and other EU countries, a task that demanded a very different skill set from my earlier responsibilities. This research required me to synthesize information from government publications, industry reports, and policy documents in order to identify emerging trends and key developments in the European defense technology sector, supporting their broader mission of fostering Czech-Taiwan business relations.
