Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
My internship at ATG in the Czech Republic was an inspiring experience. I worked with ultrasonic testing engineers to optimize a device by running simulations, 3D printing prototypes, and conducting experiments. Though the project was complex and my role supportive, I gained insight into real development processes and design feedback. The workplace culture was slower-paced than I expected, especially during European summer vacations, but my mentors were patient and attentive. I appreciated the genuine European work-life balance where taking leave is accepted without pressure. Living in Prague, sharing an apartment with other interns, helped me navigate practical challenges and build friendships. Although the company didn’t focus much on social bonding, occasional lunches with my supervisor offered cultural insights. This internship not only developed my technical skills but also taught me independence and adaptability in a new environment. I’m grateful for the support from mentors and the chance to grow both professionally and personally.
