Master in Chemical Engineering
My summer exchange at the University of Chicago’s Voth Group was a highly formative experience in which I expanded my research expertise from all-atom molecular dynamics to coarse-grained modeling. I developed and implemented a bottom-up CG model for CO₂ hydrate formation, transitioning from force-matching to relative entropy minimization to better capture cross-interactions and crystallization behavior. This work significantly strengthened my computational physics and molecular simulation skills. Beyond research, living in Chicago deepened my adaptability and independence, while participation in group meetings and cultural exploration broadened my academic perspective. Overall, this experience provided both a technical foundation for my PhD research and meaningful personal growth.
