As an intern in ZYTCA, where I run PCR-based assays to check animal infections, evaluate primers, and test enzyme activity under different conditions. This taught me the key differences between academia and industry: while academia values innovation and discovery, business must meet market demand, minimize costs, and ensure reliable, reproducible results. As a startup, ZYTCA also showed me how passion drives purpose—many colleagues love animals and aim to solve real problems. Their determination and constant learning inspired me to see how startups can combine meaningful impact with personal fulfillment. Overall, this internship broadened my horizons, taught me invaluable lessons, and will remain eternal nourishment in my life journey.
