One of the most valuable experiences was learning about Fukuoka's game and entertainment industry. This was my first time visiting Fukuoka, and before the trip I had no idea that the city had such a vibrant environment for game development and innovative businesses. During the program, we visited CyberConnect2, where we learned about the company's history, game development process, and working culture. Seeing how creativity, technology, and teamwork come together to create successful games was fascinating. What impressed me most was that since the company develops games based on anime IPs, they keep a library of manga inside the office that employees are free to borrow. Staff members working on a particular anime-based game are even required to read through the entire original series, which I thought was a fascinating way to run a workplace. We also met staff from the Fukuoka Game Industry Promotion Organization, who introduced us to the city's efforts to support the game industry and answered many of our questions. Their explanations helped me understand why Fukuoka has become an attractive place for creative companies. Since I hope to become a legal advisor in the entertainment industry in the future, this experience was especially meaningful, as it let me learn more about an industry I would like to work with one day.
