Transitioning from academic coursework to a rigorous industrial research environment involved a steep learning curve, and it was an incredibly rewarding one. This rigorous research experience solidified my passion for machine learning and deep learning. Mastering these modern development workflows, alongside tools like Git and GitHub, has become a precious asset. However, navigating life in New York facilitated an equal amount of personal development. Immersing myself in American life also profoundly shifted my worldview. Living in New York completely dismantled these stereotypes. Ultimately, this internship was a transformative milestone. It not only sharpened my technical proficiencies in deep learning and model architecture but also fostered a deep sense of independence, cultural adaptability, and personal resilience. I am returning to my studies at National Taiwan University with a clearer vision for my future career.
