Professionally, working at Huld has given me a real exposure to the space industry. Throughout this internship, I learned about satellites, on-board software, space computing, and the kind of projects connected to the European Space Agency (ESA). This experience has made me genuinely interested in exploring the space industry further. However, regardless of the field I work in the future, I am certain that the skills I have acquired here will be incredibly useful. Working with unfamiliar codebases, planning software before implementation, writing technical documentation, and communicating with mentors are all transferable, flexible skills that can be applied to many areas of software engineering. Overall, this internship has been an incredible experience that offered a comprehensive peek of software engineering projects, while offering resources for independent experimentation and practical, valuable guidance.
