Reflecting on this journey, one impression stands out above all others, and it may well be the central theme of the entire program: the degree of freedom and openness within corporate culture. Across the various companies we visited in the Czech Republic, this openness was the clearest common thread, and it was also the aspect that struck me as most different from what I'm familiar with in Taiwan. From this single quality of freedom, I came to notice two distinct qualities emerge — a stronger capacity for innovation, and a healthier work-life balance. On the first point, I think this is precisely the dividing line between Taiwan and Western countries when it comes to innovation. Europe and the U.S. seem to cultivate an environment that is simply more conducive to nurturing new ideas — and this freedom, in turn, shapes the distinct character of their industries compared to ours.
