I gradually realized that wildlife protection is deeply connected to local communities, economics, education, and even global cooperation. The most impressive activity during this trip was the post-mortem. It was no longer just an abstract concept of “wildlife loss” that I had read about in books or reports. Through this process, I understood that post-mortem examinations are not only about studying death, but also about protecting the living. As we became more familiar with the process, the activity turned from challenging to extremely engaging. It felt like we were real investigators working together to solve a case. I soon realized that passion and curiosity are just as important as professional training. Seeing how committed you are to protecting wildlife and educating others makes me reflect seriously on the kind of person I want to become in the future.
