During the internship, I applied theoretical knowledge into practice where I proficiently operated lab instruments to gather output and transfer curve data using real physical equipment. With this new raw measurement data on hand, I ran it through various processing and analysis steps using Python. Creating my own data processing pipeline from scratch was one of the true highlights of my internship experience. Instead of working with existing data processing applications, I built a custom data processor that let me automate most of the repetitive data processing part of the job. The experience I gained taught me many transferable skills that could be applied later on while creating clean datasets, writing reusable code, and automating processes that would normally never be automated and would require human effort. Besides saving the data for my own needs, I implemented a process.
