Bachelor in Medicine
I was so shy that I was afraid to express my expectations and what I wanted to achieve in the beginning. Therefore, I did not have so many things to do in the first few weeks. However, after discussing the issue with other UCTS fellows and Prof Chin, I learned to be more courageous and took the initiative to communicate with my mentors. The results turned out to be good. And I finally really did contribute to the project. This taught me that opportunities are obtained only when you are active and eager to acquire them. In the United States, I had to get rid of the “Asian mindset.”
