When I first signed up for the Austronesian Culture and Sustainable Management Traineeship, I honestly just expected a typical study tour filled with academic lectures, some sightseeing, and standard corporate visits. But looking back at those nine days, it was basically a wild, unpredictable adventure right from the start. This trip was so much more than just a traineeship to me. It was a journey of connecting with people—whether it was American tourists in a brightly lit lobby, Hawaiian locals on a zipline, or my own peers under the starry night sky. I’m returning to Taiwan with a broader perspective on the world, a deeper understanding of cultural diversity, and memories I will genuinely cherish forever. It really opened my eyes to realize that no matter how different we all seem, we all go through similar hardships.
